Cafe Frascati

For the biggest flower show in Belgium Floraliën 2016, we curated, hosted and designed Café Frascati, a temporary hotspot which celebrated a green lifestyle throughout plant-related activities, such as a plant swap, botanical dinners, and a debate about urban gardening. The identity of the event was based on the branding of Floraliën: an ornamental monogram F and was inspired by the location, STAM Café, a minimal cube in a historical setting. In the typography, we used a typeface with open spaces and round shapes, referring to flora. Because the identity is mainly used online, we opted for a new technique called ‘moving still-life,’ thus mimicking the slow growth of plants. The imagery is minimal, infused with bright colors, for it to stand out in a more traditional environment.
